Lips too Chilled – Bashō Matsuo

Poor boy – leaves
for rice-grinding.

Journey’s end –
still alive, this
autumn evening.

Morning-glory –
it, too,
turns from me.

At least, I still have autumn.

A lovely selection of poems. Better collections prevent me from giving this more than three stars. And a half.

three stars and a half
sounds about right on this quiet
summer morning

day of the super blue blood moon

  1. Thanks so much for visiting this almost forgotten page (I was rather busy and couldn’t spend much time on here). Heh, I wrote this on the day of the eclipse but posted it almost a month later.
I’m glad you enjoyed Basho’s lovely musings and the picture of that spellbinding moon. 🙂
